The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
