The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
